A pharmacy in Cancún offers all kinds of prescription drugs for tourists, often without a prescription. Most of the tourists in the area are from the United States, where it is harder to get certain drugs.

View of the Meridien hotel and beach in Cancún. Most of the hotels in this very touristy area are packed one next to the other on the “zona hotelera”, away from town. Most of them were empty when we were there, pretending to be customers.
Marquesitas
A street vendor makes a Marquesita in Mérida. Marquesitas are similar to french crepes, but crispier.

César swims in a cenote close to Mérida. Cenotes are deep caves filled with sweet water, very common in the Yucatán peninsula.
